A Formal invitation to observe the rainy retreat “Vas Aradhana” will be extended to the venerable monks by Mr. Priyan Gunarathna and Mrs Sujeewa Gunarathna family as the principal sponsors of this year’s event on Sunday, July 25, 2021. The invitation will be carried out at the Colorado Buddhist Vihara at 3pm. Devotees are mostly welcome to participate in this event.
The Vassana Retreat will be held from the 25th of July 2021 till the 5th of November 2021. All the programs will be held on weekends only.
The Special weekly Dhamma Sermon (Samyuktha nikaya) program will commence every Saturday at 7 pm. Atavisi Buddha Vandana and Buddha Puja will be held every Sunday at 7pm. Also sponsors of the Vas season as well as the Katina ceremony should participate in this particular event.
Devotees could go to Colorado Buddhist Vihara home page (cbvihara.org) for the daily Buddha Vandana and collect merits.
Devotees will be able to observe sil last Sunday of each month. Sil program will be conducted the whole day. The place will be determined according to the participants. Please reserve a spot via phone call.
Dhamma School
According to a survey, the following decision was made regarding Dhamma School. Dhamma School will be conducted once a month and will be held on the first Sunday of each month.
Special Announcement
If Bhante is not available at the temple due to visiting a devotee family for a pirith, Bana or any other reason, Bhante will only inform the devotees who bring dana on that day.
Please make a strong determination (Adhitthana) to make this Rains-Retreat an opportunity to follow the footsteps of the Enlightened Beings and engage in highly meritorious activities such as learning and practicing Dhamma, developing insight meditation and so forth.
